HRC Contingency Command Sequences

Fire Cal Source Failsafe

Description:

This sequence operates the calibration source failsafe. First, the Failsafe Master Relay, cal source, +Y shutter, and -Y shutter relays are disabled. The master relay is enabled, the configuration is verified, and then the cal source relay is enabled. After verifying the failsafe actuation, the master, cal source, +Y, and -Y shutter relays are disabled. Verification that the cal source failsafe has actuated properly can only be determined by observing the x-ray event distribution with the door in the calibration position.

Cautions/Restrictions:

This sequence must only be used as a last resort; once the failsafe has been executed the cal source can no longer be exposed.
