Quantum Efficiency

On Axis Model: Newest model in place

Secular Trends
"Out of Band" Response: With new observing configuration strategy (as of 10/12/2003), we have adapted the UVIS monitoring to identify any changes in throughput. No trends have been identified for the filters where we have previous data, and with only one set of observations so far, we will continue to monitor the shield.

Detector Uniformity

Confirmation of Model: Two Vela observations with opposite roll positions indicate that detector performance agrees with ground based model at energies above 150 eV. Please see Posson-Brown poster.

Detector Gain

Accumulated Extracted Charge(AEC)
Secular Trends:ArLac Standard Candles
Voltage Adjustment: Conservative estimate of time until 5% of events are lost below the LLD is longer than 4 years from now. IPI team in conjunction with CXC determined that a voltage adjustment was not yet required.

Miscellaneous

Timing (Arnold Rots): Essentially unchanged from last year.
Comparison with XTE indicates the clock (including the 285 microsecond offset) is good to about 30 microseconds.
(Data separated by a year; used a single Jodrell Bank timing ephemeris)
Bad Pixel Map: Slight enlargement of a previously noted hot spot on the central plate of the S detector.
