This example concerns the HETGS observation (obsid_702) of X1543-62 by Lorella Angelini from September 2000. The first figure shows the application of the standard flux-correction technique. Note that from about 6 to 13 Angstroms, the flux-corrected MEG plus and minus first orders are systematically lower than the flux-corrected HEG orders. While one might attribute this the systematic differences as a calibration issue, the next figure, which is the result of the pileup model, shows that this difference is most likely due to pileup.
