The 3-D projection shows the absolute level of the count rate for the average background derived from all 21 pointings in this instrumental configuration. The raw data were first blocked 8x8 and then, after averaging, smoothed using a Gaussian with a sigma of 40 blocked pixels. The vertical scale was selected so as to be identical to the other 3-D projections for ease of comparison. This data can also be seen as a percentage difference from the mean and as a color contour map of the count rate. Or you can see all six plots at once.
