The color scale shows the percent deviation from the overall average background derived from all 21 pointings in this instrumental configuration. After applying the H-test filter, the raw data were first blocked 8x8 and then, after averaging, smoothed using a Gaussian with a sigma of 40 blocked pixels. The color scale was set to be the same for all the percentage plots. This data can also be seen as a color contour map of the count rate and as a 3-D projection on an absolute scale.
