To generate degap coefficients within the ASCDS, the user should use the tool "mkdegap" (executable v1.0, parameter file v1.0)(NOTE: this is a different binary than the IPI software. This tool requires a projection file as input, which needs to be generated elsewhere within the ASCDS tools. For usage/help the user is directed to the parameter files. Any Level 0 or Level 1 ASCDS processed event list (*_evt.qp or *_evt.fits) can be re-processed with the newly generated degap coefficients using "hrc_process_events" (executable v1.0, parameter file v1.0).

In addition, a tool called "degap2fits" (executable v1.0, source text v1.0) has been developed by Mike Juda to transcribe the the IPI degap tables format into FITS format, suitable for use with the ASCDS software.
